Antonius Bui meticulously cut the handwritten lyrics of a song out of paper, creating a sheet of artfully intertwined letters.
Signage System for Umeda Hospital, 1998
"The Umeda Hostpital is a specialty hospital for obstetrics and pediatrics. Because my concern was the creation of a gentle atmosphere for a place where pregnant women and nursing mothers would be spending their time, the signs themselves are made of cloth. I also endeavored to make them washable. The reason I used easily dirtied cotton is that the high level of hospitality of the facility would be visible in its maintenance of the pure white of the signs. This is the same principle that drives the appeal of a first-rate restaurant to its clientele, through the cleanliness of their tables, covered with bright white linen tablecloths." — Kenya Hara
